During the past 15 years the Downbeat Detonators have played a few hundred shows in pubs and at festivals both at home and abroad. Some of these shows were recorded on video.
Jamaican music from the 60’s and 70’s
With our music which is inspired by Jamaican dancehall music from the 1960s and 70s we’ve built a huge fanbase that grows with every show. And of course rocksteady, ska, and early reggae are infectious music styles. But it’s the Jamaican dancehall style, the enthusiasm and the high level of quality that keeps surprising our audiences and keeping them engaged.
Mostly Original Songs
After so many years of existence, the Downbeat Detonators can draw from an extensive repertoire of our own Jamaican dancehall originals. But beside those originals we also interpret existing songs and some ska classics, which we’ve skilfully make our own.

For all our shows goes, whenever and wherever the Downbeat Detonators take the stage we go all out as if it’s our very last chance to let the audience see, hear and feel our music.
